Styrian Bobek

Styrian Bobek (often referred to simply as Bobek) is a well-established Slovenian aroma hop variety developed as a triploid seedling of the Northern Brewer variety. It is widely praised for its distinct, pleasant aromatic qualities and its reliability in the field and the brewhouse. Bobek is particularly famous for its characteristic citrus and herbal expression, making it a staple for traditional and modern brewing alike.

Styrian Bobek is best known for its prominent lemongrass and citrus character, smoothly backed by subtle floral and herbal elements. It provides a clean, mild bitterness and works exceptionally well when added late in the boil, during whirlpool stages, or for dry hopping. It also blends harmoniously with other Slovenian varieties like Styrian Cardinal.
